Invests in equity securities of companies that are primarily engaged in the energy, natural resources and basic materials industries

The equity portfolio will generally hold approximately 40-80 equity securities and is actively managed using proprietary stock selection screens and fundamental input from sector analysts

Fund's option strategy will consist of selling (writing) call options generally on 30-80% of the total value of the Fund's portfolio

Frank van Etten, Portfolio Manager, Managed Fund since 2010
Frank van Etten is the Deputy Chief Investment Officer for Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions (MASS) at Voya Investment Management. He is responsible for managing the research and investment teams that design and implement investment products and solutions with asset allocation, manager selection and/or structured investment components. Frank also drives product development and business management. Previously, he was a portfolio manager on the structured investment strategies team in Europe, where he initially carried out research in equity derivatives markets. Subsequently, as a portfolio manager, he oversaw two investment teams that managed a range of liability-driven investment solutions, structured funds and alternative investments and executed hedging programs and derivatives trading. Frank received his master’s degree in econometrics from Tilburg University in the Netherlands, specializing in quantitative finance.
Jody Hrazanek, Portfolio Manager, Managed Fund since 2006
Jody Hrazanek is head of portfolio implementation and management for Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions (MASS) at Voya Investment Management. She is responsible for overseeing the implementation of a variety of investment solutions including asset allocation, derivatives/financial engineering, risk management, portable alpha and structured products. Previously at Voya, she was a derivatives trader with responsibility for Voya IM’s third-party business as well as the firm’s general account. Prior to joining Voya, she was a convertible bond trader at Advent Capital Management and an analyst at Goldman Sachs. Jody began her career as a convertible bond portfolio manager and risk arbitrage trader at Merrill Lynch Quantitative Advisors and Deutsche Bank Asset Management. Jody graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fairfield University with a BS in mathematics and has a MS in statistics and operations research from New York University.
Vincent Costa, CFA, Portfolio Manager, Managed Fund since 2014
Vincent Costa is a portfolio manager at Voya Investment Management for the large cap value, global value advantage, research enhanced index and corporate leaders 100 strategies. He also serves as the head of the portfolio engineering group responsible for overseeing portfolio construction and optimizing the use of alpha signals. Prior to joining the firm, Vinnie managed quantitative equity investments at both Merrill Lynch and Bankers Trust. He earned a BS in quantitative business analysis from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in finance from the New York University Stern School of Business, and he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
Peg DiOrio, CFA, Portfolio Manager, Managed Fund since 2014
Peg DiOrio, is a quantitative analyst at Voya Investment Management for the portfolio engineering group and serves as a portfolio manager for the Research Enhanced Index strategies. Prior to joining the firm, she was a quantitative analyst with Alliance Bernstein/Sanford C. Bernstein for sixteen years where she was responsible for multivariate and time series analysis for low volatility strategies, global equities, REITs and options. Previously she was a senior investment planning analyst with Sanford C. Bernstein. Peg received an MS in Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, NYU and a BS from SUNY Stony Brook. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and Series 7 and 63 licenses. She also served on the board of the Edwin Gould Services for Children and as a mentor in the East Harlem Tutorial Program.
