George Cope, President & CEO
George Cope is leading the transformation of Canada’s largest communications company into an efficient customer-focused competitor, based on a strategy of enhanced service capability, significant broadband network investments and a high-performance team culture.
With industry-leading capital investments of approximately $6 billion in 2009 and 2010, Bell has launched a world-leading new mobile HSPA+ network and enhanced broadband fibre infrastructure to deliver advanced Television and Internet services.
Mr. Cope is a seasoned Canadian telecommunications executive who had served in public-company CEO roles in the industry for more than 15 years prior to joining Bell in 2005. He has earned a reputation as an innovative telecom strategist and builder of high-performance teams, successfully launching three next-generation Canadian digital networks during his career.
Mr. Cope holds a BComm (Honours) degree from the University of Western Ontario and serves on the Advisory Board of the university’s Richard Ivey School of Business.
Mr. Cope is also a director of Bank of Montreal and Bell Canada and Chair of the Board of Bell Aliant Inc.
Glen LeBlanc, Executive VP & CFO
Glen LeBlanc was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of BCE and Bell Canada in June 2015. He leads the national Finance team with a capital markets strategy focused on enabling Bell’s industry-leading capital investment in broadband networks and sustainable dividend growth for BCE shareholders. Mr. LeBlanc joined BCE in 2014 as Senior Vice President, Finance following the privatization of Bell Aliant, where he had served as Executive VP and CFO since 2006. Mr. LeBlanc is Vice Chair of the Certified Management Accountants (CMA) of Nova Scotia board and played an active role in the merger and unification of the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) of Canada. He previously served on the boards of the Greater Halifax Partnership, Atlantic Provinces Economic Council, Cape Breton University and Feed Nova Scotia. Mr. LeBlanc holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. Mary’s University and was awarded CMA and FCMA designations from the Society of Certified Management Accountants of Nova Scotia. He was named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2005.
Michael Cole, Executive VP & CIO
Michael Cole is EVP & CIO for Bell Canada. His team is accountable for application development and infrastructure management in support of all Bell Canada’s business units. His team’s current focus includes the delivery of IT solutions to support Bell Canada’s strategic imperatives.
Mr. Cole previously held the position of SVP, Bell Canada Operations – Mass Markets, where his team provided customer field services support (installation, repair) and network services support (cable repair and central office) for Mass Markets and Enterprise and Wholesale markets across Ontario and Quebec regions.
Mr. Cole started his career with Bell Canada in 1991, after graduating from the Faculty of Economics at Princeton University. He has worked in various groups within Bell Canada, including Network and Customer Operations, Business Planning and Information Systems and Consumer Wireline Products and Marketing.
In 2009, Mr. Cole was named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, a list compiled by The Caldwell Partners to celebrate the achievements of Canadians in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.
Mr. Cole sits on the Board for The Source and is a Director for the March of Dimes Canada.
He holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Business, University of Toronto.
Stephen Howe, Executive VP & CTO
As Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Stephen Howe leads the Bell wireline and wireless network teams that develop, build and operate the company's high-capacity broadband networks.
Mr. Howe was previously Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Bell Mobility where he led the rollout of Bell's world-leading HSPA+ wireless network.
Before joining Bell, Mr. Howe was Executive Vice President of Information Technology at Telus Mobility, and previously Vice President of Technology at Telus and at Clearnet Communications (acquired by Telus in 2000), responsible for the design, development and expansion of the wireless data, handset portfolio, switching systems and networks.
Mr. Howe has a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Physics from McMaster University and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University.
Mirko Bibic, Executive VP and Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer
As Executive Vice President and Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer for Bell and BCE Inc., Mirko Bibic is responsible for all Bell legal, regulatory and government affairs.

Mr. Bibic joined Bell as Senior VP, Regulatory in January 2004 and was later promoted to Senior VP, Regulatory & Government Affairs in 2008.

Following the acquisition of CTV in 2011, he also assumed all government and regulatory responsibilities for Bell Media. Under Mr. Bibic’s leadership, Bell’s Regulatory and Government Affairs teams effectively contributed to public policy decisions supporting investment, innovation and growth in Canadian communications. He was promoted to Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer in March 2012.

Prior to joining Bell in 2004, Mr. Bibic was managing partner of the Ottawa office of Stikeman Elliott LLP. He holds a Law degree from the University of Toronto and was called to the Ontario bar in 1994.
Bernard le Duc, Executive VP, Corporate Services
As Bell’s Executive Vice President, Corporate Services, Bernard le Duc oversees Human Resources, Communications, Corporate Security and Real Estate.

Mr. le Duc has held a series of senior level positions in his 11 years with Bell. As the recent Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources, he took the lead in enhancing our HR operations, focusing on ensuring that the talent and potential of every team member can be realized. Mr. le Duc has also led the promotion of the Bell Let’s Talk mental health initiative in the workplace.

Previously Bell’s Senior VP, Finance, Mr. le Duc oversaw a wide range of finance activities including planning and performance management, capital management and investor relations. He has been involved in some of the most challenging projects at Bell over the years, including the creation of Bell Aliant, the sale of Telesat, and the effort to privatize BCE.

Prior to Bell, Mr. le Duc held management positions at Bombardier Transportation, Booz Allen & Hamilton Managing Consulting, and The Dow Chemical Company. He holds a Master of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) from the University of London’s Imperial College, and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
Mary Ann Turcke, Executive VP, Field Operations
Mary Ann Turcke leads Bell Canada’s Field Operations a team of about 12,000 technicians, internal service representatives and managers. She is responsible for the delivery of telecommunication services to all of Bell’s residential and business customers.

In 2012 Ms. Turcke was appointed to the Board of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) as part of Bell’s strategy to deliver the best content of all kinds to customers across all platforms. Ms. Turcke previously served as Bell’s Vice President, Customer Experience and Operations – Small Medium Business.

Ms. Turcke holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University and began her career in the construction industry, designing and building roads and bridges for the Ministry of Transportation in Ontario. She also holds a Master in Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Master in Business Administration from Queen’s University. Ms. Turcke later worked with A.T. Kearney Management Consultants and served as Vice President of Operations & General Manager of Canada for Internet Pictures Corporation (iPIX), along with various executive operations roles in a number of small start-up companies in the outsourcing and software development areas.

In 2013, Ms. Turcke was inducted into the Hall of Fame representing Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 for her accomplishments in her management role, vision and leadership, corporate performance and community service. Ms. Turcke is also a member of the advisory board of the Queen’s School of Business and of the capital campaign for Queen’s Faculty of Engineering & Applied Science.
John Watson, Executive VP, Customer Operations
As Executive Vice President, Customer Operations, John Watson is responsible for residential and wireless customer service across Bell.

Mr. Watson joined Bell in early 2010 as Senior VP, Operations for Bell Mobility and quickly implemented a range of service and retention programs to enhance the customer experience.

Mr. Watson has been a senior leader in a range of industries, including communications, consumer packaged goods, healthcare and management consulting. He was formerly President of Consumer Solutions at Telus, leading the company’s consumer wireless and wireline teams across Canada.

Mr. Watson is a leader in organizational development and has lectured on business strategy, marketing, loyalty and leadership. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from York University.
