Enrico Tommaso Cucchiani, Chief Executive Officer
Enrico Tommaso Cucchiani (Milano, 1950). Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Intesa Sanpaolo as of December 2011, he was previously Chairman of Allianz S.p.A. and a member of the Management Board ("Vorstand") of Allianz SE, with responsibility for the insurance market in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Greece and South America and of the global strategic development and restructuring programme for the Claims business and distribution system of the insurance group. He is a member of the General Council of the Aspen Institute in Italy, of the Advisory Council of the Stanford University, of the Trilateral Commission, Italy and of the Executive Committee of the US - Italy Council. He started his professional career working for the International Department of one of the largest American banks from 1977 to 1979, when he moved to McKinsey, working in Milano, London and New York until 1985 dealing, in particular, with the banking sector. Before entering Lloyd Adriatico in 1996, where he had been progressively appointed General Manager, CEO, Member of the Executive Committee and Chairman, he had been appointed General Manager of the Gucci Group from 1985 to 1992, then founding a venture capital firm. After taking a degree in Economics from the Bocconi University in Milano, he took a Master in Business Administration from the Stanford University and developed research activities on strategies of multinational corporations at Harvard University. Knighted for services to Industry “Cavaliere del Lavoro”, he was awarded “Alumnus of the year” by the Association of Bocconi Graduates in 2006.

Gian Maria Gros ‐ Pietro (Torino, 1942). Le ct urer of Business Economics at Luiss. He led the Business and Development Research Institute (National Council for Research) from 1974 to 1995. In 1997 he was appointed Chairman of Iri with the task of privatising its subsidiaries. In 1999 he was appointed Chiarman of Eni and tasked with guiding the liberalisation of the Italian gas market and the expansion of the group in the Exploration & Production on a global scale . From 2002 to 2010 he served as Chairman of Atlantia, the leading Italian private infrastructure operator. He was a member of the National Council for the Economy and Labour for 10 years. He chairs the scientific committee of Nomisma and is a member of the scientific committee of Confindustria. He chairs the listed company ASTM and is an independent Director of the listed companies Caltagirone, Edison, Fiat. He is a member of the Executive Commit t ee of the Industrial Union of Turin.
