Rupert Stadler, Chairman
Rupert Stadler was born on March 17, 1963 in Titting (Bavaria).
Stadler studied Business Management, majoring in Corporate Planning/Controllership and Finance, Banking and Investment, at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.
After graduating in Business Management, Stadler started his career at Philips Kommunikation Industrie AG in Nuremberg.
In 1990 Stadler joined AUDI AG, Ingolstadt, where he assumed various controlling tasks in the Sales and Marketing area.
Stadler switched to Volkswagen/Audi EspaƱa SA, Barcelona, as Commercial Director in 1994. In that capacity, he was responsible for Controllership, Accounts, Personnel and Organisation.
From 1997 Stadler was Head of the Board of Management's Office for the Volkswagen Group, and additionally Head of Group Product Planning from January 2002.
Rupert Stadler became AUDI AG Board Member with effect from January 1, 2003. From April 1, 2003 to August 31, 2007 Stadler was responsible for the Finance and Organisation Division.
Rupert Stadler became Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG on January 1, 2007.
Rupert Stadler joined the Board of Management of Volkswagen on January 1, 2010 in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG.
Axel Strotbek, Board Member for Finance and Organization
Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. Axel Strotbek was born in Hamelin (Lower Saxony) on March 2, 1964.
Between 1984 and 1986, he acquired his first diploma in Industrial Engineering at the University of Karlsruhe. He then went to the University of Linkƶping in Sweden for his main course of studies before returning to the University of Karlsruhe to complete his degree in Industrial Engineering in 1989.
After an MBA course at the University of Illinois, Chicago, he joined the Volkswagen Group as Assistant to the Board Member for Controlling and Accounting of the Volkswagen brand in August 1991.
After holding various positions in Controlling and General Financial Planning, he moved to Volkswagen Sachsen GmbH in Zwickau in November 2000, where he was appointed Managing Director for Finance and Controlling. From September 2004 until August 2007, Axel Strotbek was Executive Vice President for Finance at the Volkswagen Group China in Beijing.
On September 1, 2007 Strotbek became Member of the Board of Management for Finance and Organization at AUDI AG.
Peter Schwarzenbauer, Board Member for Marketing and Sales
Peter Schwarzenbauer was born on October 19, 1959 in WeiƟenburg (Bavaria).
He initially went to high school in Munich and then in Nova Friburgo (Brazil) where he passed his ā€œAbiturā€ (high school diploma).
After studying Business Management with a major in Marketing at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, he started his professional career at BMW AG in 1984 where he was responsible for various functions in Marketing and Sales.
In 1994, Peter Schwarzenbauer moved to Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG where he was initially Head of Sales for Germany.
In 1997, he moved to Porsche Iberica S.A., then in 2003 he was made President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America Inc.
Since April 1, 2008, Schwarzenbauer has been Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG for Marketing and Sales.
In 2010, Peter Schwarzenbauer was accepted as a member of the German association of the Club of Rome.
