Dr. Vijay Mallya, Chairman
Dr. Vijay Mallya, a well known industrialist, is the Chairman of the United Breweries Group. The Group today has an annual turnover of U.S. $ 1.2 billion. The local business areas of the Group encompass Beverage Alcohol, Life Sciences, Engineering, Agrochemicals, Information Technology, Fertilizers, Print Media and Infrastructure development. Dr. Mallya is the Chairman of Public Companies both in India as well as abroad. Dr. Mallya has received awards, both in India and Overseas, having been conferred a Doctorate of Philosophy in Business Administration [honoris causa] by the Southern California University, Irvine, U.S.A. He has also been nominated as a Global Leader for Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum during their annual meeting in Davos in 1995. He has been a Member of Parliament [Rajya Sabha] elected from Karnataka State.
Mr. Ravi Nedungadi, Director
Mr. A.K. Ravi Nedungadi is a Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant. Having qualified in 1978, he started his career at Macneill & Magor Ltd., initially at their Head Office Accounts and subsequently as Regional Accounts Manager for the northern region responsible for all manufacturing and sales accounting of the group interests in North India. After a 6-year stint in Macneill & Magor Ltd., he moved as Asst. Vice President – Finance, at Pentagon Fasteners Ltd. at the behest of the India Financial Institutions. He played a key role in the turnaround of this company. Following successful rehabilitation of Pentagon, Mr. Nedungadi joined Computer Point Limited as Head of Finance and Procurement before moving on to the UB Group as the Corporate Treasurer in Bangalore. He was promoted as the Group Finance Director of UB International Ltd. in the U.K. overseeing operations in 27 countries. During this period, constituents of UB International were listed on major international Stock Exchanges.
Mr. Henricus P. Van Zon, Director, CFO
Mr. Henricus P. van Zon ,CFO completed his MSC in Business Economics and Post-Graduation in Accountancy from Erasmus University ,Rotterdam, Netherlands. He has also completed various Executive Development Programs from IMD, IMD-Lausanne, Switzerland and INSEAD-Fontainebleau, France.

In 2007 he joined Bran Holding International Gmbh and Co KgaA ,a joint venture between Schorghuber UG and Heineken NV as the Managing Director and CFO. During this tenure he has also been operationally responsible as the Chairman and CFO of Kulmbacher Brauerei AG. Prior to this Mr. van Zon has held several important portfolios in organizations like Grupa Zywiec, Heineken Espana, Heineken NV, Vietnam Brewery Ltd., Commonwealth Brewery Ltd., Heineken Nedereland BV. He knows Dutch, English, German and Spanish
Mr. Kalyan Ganguly, Managing Director
Mr. Ganguly is an Alumni of Harvard Business School, having done his Advance Management Programme. In addition to this, he has also attended the Executive Development Programme in Marketing at the Harvard Business School. He started his career with Reckitt & Coleman India Limited and subsequently in 1979 joined the Spirits Division of the UB Group. He handled various assignments in Sales and Marketing and prior to his transfer to the Breweries Division, he was the Head of Sales & Marketing in the Spirits Division of the UB Group. During his tenure, he was associated with all the major new introductions and successful brands. All those brands which Mr. Ganguly was associated with are now the ‘Millionaire’ brands of the Division. The Spirits Division of the UB Group is the 7th largest Distiller in the world having 7 ‘Millionaire’ brands and one of only such brands from India.
Mr. Govind Iyengar, Company Secretary
Mr. Govind Iyengar joined erstwhile United Breweries Limited in February 2001 as Deputy Company Secretary to look after the Secretarial matters of the company. Prior to joining UBL, he was working with Citurgia Bio-Chemicals Limited, a Bombay Dyeing Group Company in Mumbai as a Company Secretary. Upon de-merger of the brewing business of the erstwhile UBL into the current organisation, Mr. Iyengar was promoted as Company Secretary. Presently he looks after the secretarial and legal functions of UBL.
